GOODBYES ARE ALWAYS THE HARDEST NO MATTER WHAT!

Today was very sad, as I had to say goodbye to my amazing German girl Anna. I know that I have only known her for two months but it doesn't feel like it at all, it feels as if I have known her my whole life. Goodbyes are always horrible was it just that much harder saying good bye to her because I don;t know if I will see her agin because we live on different continents but it is my aim and my goal to see her again. Anna I love you so much you are an amazing girl and friend! I am so glad I got to meet her and know her, I will miss her so so so much!! xxx :(
However on a positive note only 2 days left till SUMMER!!! I couldn't be more excited for my Finnish summer and with only 2 days to go it is becoming hard to concentrate in school, lol! :)

A DAY OF NERVES, STRESS AND A NEW FAMILY!

Today has been an extremely busy day I had my 2b english exams. 2 exams to be exact and each one was 2 hours long. They weren't too hard but I think the fact that we had two hours to complete it kind of freaked me out because I am so used to only having an hour and a half to wriet two essays not two hours to only write one.
Once I got home from school at about 2:30 it was time to pack up the rest of my room at the Suoranta's before I moved to my second host family. Once I arrived at my next host family I met my new host parents and new host siblings who are absolutely gorgeous. I have twin host sister 7 and a host brother 3. My new room is really pretty and classy, it is all b;ack and white just like teh entire house and i do mean the whole house. Everything is black and white and my new host mum told me that they are even going to paint the outside of teh house black and white during summer.
Although I know I am going to miss the Suoranta's so so much, my new host family seems really really nice and they are helping me to settle in really well.

FUN SPRING DAYS EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT SUNNY OUTSIDE!!

Friday was filled with many many laughs. I had school as per usual, which is boring but I get to see my amazing friends so that is great! Then after school Danielle, Anna and I went out on the town, we shopped, got coffee and had many many laughs. It was great spending time with some amazing people.
In the evening I hung out with my gorgeous Danielle eating lakrits from the Vaasa market and watching Charlie St.Cloud and Good Luck Chuck! :) Overall a great way to spend a Friday! :D

SURPRISE ALL THE WAY!!

Yesterday it was off to Seinäjoki for Kaity's birthday! The funny part though was that Kaity had no idea that she was about to have a party she just thought she was going out to eat with a friend. LOL.....her mistake!!!
Once we all arrived it was time to start blowing up balloons and covering the place in streamers!! At 6:30 we turned off all the lights got into position and waited for the door to open. When it did we all jumped out screaming surprise and I have never seen Kaity jumped so far! It was a great kick-off to a great party with all of Kaity's friends. After the party was over it was back to Kaity's for the night. We talked and talked and talked and I honestly have no idea what time it was when we all finally crashed.
Today it was time for hanging with soem good friends and then back to Vaasa where teh fun continued with my awesome Californian oldie!
Unfortunately on a sad note though these are my last few days with my forst host family before I change on Monday evening. I understand I must change but I love my first host family and I feel that my host sisters are not just 'host sisters' but my real sister and I love them both to bits. It is gonna be hard not beong able to just walk across the hall to talk to Kikka when I like! :(

P.S i've also added some photos of my current hist family's summer cottage and vaasa in spring!! Sooo pretty!!! :) :)

SWEET 16!! :D

So it is official I am now sweet 16!! Yes on Saturday I turned swwet 16!! YAY! :) The day was spent with my host family and friends. In the morning it was baking food, opening presents, eating a lovely breakfast in bed, skyping my family in Australia and talking to friends from back home! Early afternoon it was off to the city to do some last minute shopping for something to wear for the evening. Found a lovely pair of black jeans, a white lace top and a black top as well as a lovely necklace.
Then in the evening it was PARTY time! That night I had a very nice party with some great friends who made the day amazing! We danced, we ate, we talked it was great fun! After everyone had gone home except a few who were staying the night we packed up everything so it all looked nice and neat again, lol, then proceeded to talk talk talk and get barely any sleep!
It was an amazing 16th birthday and I am so happy to be 16 and a big thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate it! :D

IT'S FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!!!!

Today was filled with smiles, tears, ups and downs. After school today it was off to Rewell Centre to go shoe shopping. I found two new gorgeous pairs of shoes a black flat and a pair of high heeled boots! :)
Then it was off to the cinema with Kikka, Sanna, Jenny, Yasmin and Becka to see Titanic in 3D. The movie was amazing although it did make me cry.
Once I got home my host mother gave me the greathest thing, a letter from my gorgeous best friend back in Australia. However, I am not allowed to open it until my birthday but thats ok because it's only 8 days away!! :)

!TRAVEL LIVE REMEMBER!

So I am back after a few extremely busy weeks away. In my blogasphere absence I have a experienced a finnish easter, travelled to Russia for a few day with Rotary. I went to my first ever Finnish zoo where I saw some amazing animals and I had my Rotary District Conference.
My very first trip with Rotary was to St,.Petersburg Russia. It was an amzing few days and I met so many new and wonderful people as well as getting to see some old friends from Karkku. It really was amazing to see everyone. While in St.Petersburg we got teh oppurtunity to visit the Herimitage museum, as well as a museum full of weird but wonderful things, we went to a market place in Viborg as well as an amazing folk show. However the best part of the trip had to be when we went to the Russian ballet. I have never been to the ballet so I was extremely luckyt that my first tiem was the Russian ballet. Every dancer was amazing and moved in such a graceful way, I do wish I could be as graceful, lol. I absolutely loved my trip to St.Petersburg and I feel extremely lucky that I had the chance to go.
For Easter my lovely host family took me to Ahtari and Tuuri, one is a hige shopping mall in the middle of nowhere and the other is a small town. When we arrived in Tuuri the smalll town the first thing we did was go to the zoo that was across the road from the hotel where we stayed overnight. In the zoo they had some amazing animals like snow leopards, bears, bear cubs (sooooo cute) moose, deer, wolverines and many others. It was really amazing to see how different the animals here in Finland are too the animals in Australia, Also during easter we went and stayed at my host family's summer cottage for a few days where I went ice-fishing for the first time! Unfortunately I did not catch anything :(.
Over the last month I also had my district conference. This conference is where all the Rotarians in my district come together to discuss everything. However, for us exchange students it is a great chance to catch up with each other. During the day we only had to introduce ourselves and sit in teh meeting for a very short time. Other than that us exchange students all sat together in a room and just hung out and got to spend some time together, talking about all our experiences in Finland, along with pulla and coffee of course.
Today is April 25th so ANZAC day in Australia. For those of you that read this who are not Australian and don't know what ANZAC days is, it is a day where we remember all the soliders who have served for our country in the wars. Also on this day it is traditional to make ANZAC biscuits which is what I have done for my host family, I just hope that they enjoy them.
Ok this is all for now, I promise to be better with my blogging :)
